Support our SchoolsEducation is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
One of our primary goals at Love and Grace Ministry is to educate and empower the next generation in Ounaminthe, Haiti. We are putting that call into action as we have four schools serving near 400 students. As you can imagine, the cost of running four schools is great and includes rent on the school buildings, teacher and staff salaries, meals for the children, school supplies, uniforms, construction, maintenance and more. Where will you choose to support?
Our ministry has small schools in four different villages, each serving Preschool 1 through first grade with a total of 381 children collectively. We rent each of our four satellite school locations which is an added expense for the ministry.
Dedicated to teaching and serving this upcoming generation is a group of 25 men and women who we are grateful to have on our team. They walk in the elements, as do the children, to and from school each day. Each teacher receives between $75 - $100 per month. In addition to paying our teachers, we have a team that work in the kitchen and other areas that are also financially compensated for their work. All of our teachers and team members understand our ministry functions with donations. For this reason their position is considered voluntary but is a priority to us. In addition to our teachers and team, you may consider donating to support our founder and missionary, Dedra. We must take care of those who care for the multitude!
Last but not least, as we grow so must our space! Our need for financial support in construction is dire. We are building our very own school in a beautiful location. On the second floor, we hope to build dormitories for our founder, Dedra, as well as for visiting missionary groups. The school will serve as headquarters for Love and Grace, with a large kitchen, dining area for the children, missionary work room, classrooms to serve ages 3 through 6th grade (Phase 1), bathrooms for the children and staff.[ read more ]
